Opened in 1971 and renovated twice, in 1987 and 2008/2009, Cordova Mall boasts 861,000 square feet (80,000 m2) of commercial property, with seven anchor stores. Four are situated in the mall (Dillard's Men's, Dillard's Women's, Belk, and Ross Dress for Less), and three are located in an open-air atmosphere (Best Buy, Bed, Bath and Beyond and Cost Plus World Market). Former anchor tenants include Gayfers, Parisian, and Montgomery Ward, the latter of which used to be situated on what is now the open-air anchor area.
